CREATIVITY
Monument Crisis Center is a local organization focused on food insecurity and poverty assistance. fLO drew inspiration from the name of the event to create a virtual program focused on the idea of the center as a literal “heart”, with the donations and help of donors and volunteers moving through the center to become food and assistance to those who need it.
Live elements were filmed and broadcast on location in the center, with workers moving in and out of the space and showing physical representations of what Fund-A-Need levels can do as opposed to pictures. (IE, a pallet of food brought in to show what a dollar level might buy)
Pre-recorded videos and speeches showcased staff at their work and hilighted a number of donor/volunteer “hero” stories.
PROCESS
Save Mount Diablo is a local environmental organization focused on the care of Mount Diablo in the East Bay. Like many of our clients in 2021, SMD elected to create an entirely pre-recorded virtual event.
A completely pre-recorded program allowed fLO to perform the filming over many days and in multiple locations. From capturing the Executive Director’s opening speech as the sun rose behind the mountain, to trekking to a little-known rock-climbing location to film the emcee’s segments.
The entire “show” captures the feel and magic of the mountain as well as the many who care about it’s welfare.
fLO Content helped us take our HUGE in-person event and translate it into a virtual experience that our audience enjoyed and was successful, raising 10K over our stated goal. Through the entire experience, John and Stef helped us to stay clear on all the myriad details involved with this kind of production, set expectations that could be met, and we could rely on them to be on top of their responsibilities at all times. They took the time to explain our options and consult us on the course of action that was best for our organization and event. The pre-recorded videos they created for us were not only impactful during the livestream event, but have continued to have use beyond the event in email and social media campaigns. Lastly, they were calm under pressure. We had to move from an outside covid-safe venue to an indoor green screen due to smoke the day before our event. On the date of the actual event, the power went out and came on at the last minute. John kept a level head and managed to execute a great event through all the chaos. I’m planning to work with them on future projects this year and next year.
I am in awe of the work you and your fLO Content team did for the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation. You demonstrated great skill at taking our vague concepts and message “wish list” and turning it into a clear, powerful, engaging message that inspired. That was impressive enough. But, then the world shut down and our event became an online LIVE streaming event – something we had NO idea how to do… and you rescued us and made the event a success – amazing! I will always be grateful for your vision, skill and patient professionalism when we needed it most. THANK YOU!!!
